Pre-School Program

 
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES TO MEET YOUR CHILDS NEEDS

    At Slate Hill Day Care/ Pre- School your child’s needs are our priority. We offer various school schedules to suit 3, 4, and 5 year olds. You can choose to start slowly with a two day per week schedule, a three day program or a full five day weekly schedule. Half day classes run mornings (9:00am- 11:30am) and afternoons (12:00pm- 2:30pm). 

CARING TEACHERS

    Our facility is N.Y State licensed and the staff is N.Y State certified. From the center’s director, Mrs. Reddy, through the teachers and parent volunteers, every child receives individual attention. There are three classrooms, Blueberry, Strawberry and Daffodil, to accommodate students of each age group. The maximum number of children per classroom is thirteen (13) with two teachers dedicated to each group.

    All of our teachers maintain a nurturing and supportive environment while introducing age appropriate educational instruction. Whether your child enjoys a two day part time schedule or a five day full day program, you will be enjoying the new skills he or she acquires each week. While the class receives the same instructions and goals, individuals are encouraged to learn at their own pace. Every one of our teachers is committed to helping each student reach his or her potential at school.

    The curriculum offers all students a chance to develop academic and social skills. Children participate in a wide range of playtime activities that encourage sharing, teamwork and imagination. Snacks are a social event daily with everyone eating together and sharing responsibility for clean up. Parents of four year olds may be eligible for tuition assistance  ( U Pre-K) through Minisink Valley Central School  District. Please contact the school district for more information.

Daycare Program

    The regular hours for daycare are 8:00am – 5:00pm. 

    Pre-school children take advantage of all of the programs that the school offers during regular class times as well as enjoying morning and evening activities. 

    Snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon. We serve only healthy and nutritious snacks daily. However treats are a part of celebrations. We work with the parents of students with special dietary needs to ensure that the school experience is healthy and happy for everyone.
